Community (Groups, Issues, and Contributing)

Here’s how you can get help with NIMBLE and contribute to NIMBLE.

Groups

• We will post (occasional) announcements on the nimble-announce Google groups site.

• We have an email list on the nimble-users Google groups site. This is intended for questions about NIMBLE, requests for new features, and other discussion of NIMBLE.

Issues

Issues and bugs can be reported via NIMBLE’s GitHub issue tracker of the nimble repository or via the nimble-users Google groups site. General “how to” questions or requests for help with NIMBLE are welcome but should generally be asked on the nimble-users group rather than reported as GitHub issue. If reporting a problem (either to the group or on GitHub), please provide a reproducible example, ideally as minimal as possible. For compilation errors, please provide your operating system.

For questions related to auxiliary NIMBLE packages, such as nimbleHMC, nimbleSMC, nimbleEcology, nimbleSCR, and nimbleQuad, you can email the general nimble-users group. GitHub issues for these packages can be reported to the repository specific to each package, which are all of the form https://github.com/nimble-dev/<name_of_package>.
